Saint Kedar Katara of Bharatpur has set out on a 510 -day Dandavat Yatra, which will be completed in 2030. So far, 7,51,000 have been punished in the 132 km journey. The purpose of the journey is the propagation of Sanatan Dharma and Culture.

Bharatpur: 60 -year -old saint Kedar Katara Katara from Rupwas town of the district has gone on a dandavat yatra till Khatushyam (Sikar). In this difficult journey of 510 days, till now he covered a distance of about 132 km and reached Manpur Square on Jaipur-Agra National Highway, where Shyam devotees gave him a grand welcome. Saint Kedar started this yatra on 24 October 2023 from the Shri Chinta Haran Hanuman Temple of Rupwas, which will be completed in October 2030 after seven years.
Saint Kedar travels 300-400 meters per day and performs 2,100 punishment. They will perform a total of 17,65,551 punishment to complete a distance of about 321 km up to Khatu Shyam. So far, 7,51,000 have been punished in a 132 km journey, while the remaining 156 km distance will have to be done six years and 8,81,000 punishment.

Motorcycle made shelter
During the journey, Saint Kedar has converted a motorcycle into a chariot, in which the unbroken light of Khatu Shyam is burning. They stay in this chariot and spend the night here. When the day -long dandavat yatra is completed, then they rest in the motorcycle itself.
Devotees are cooperating
Devotees of Khatu Shyam are constantly helping him to fulfill this difficult resolution of the saint. Devotees from Bharatpur to Khatu Shyam are providing them food, water and other necessary things. Other devotees can also cooperate in this virtuous work. This difficult journey of seven years is not only a symbol of reverence and devotion, but also shows the unwavering faith and dedication of saint Kedar Katara towards Sanatan culture.
