Both teams have an explosive batting unit, but GT, who have had the opportunity ot play at this venue before in the series, might just have the edge. GT's bowling let them down in the previous match, and for MI, it was their batting unit that disappointed against CSK. Ahmedabad will be a perfrct opportunity to sort that out.
Shubman Gill is nearing 1,000 runs (986) in the IPL at the Narendra Modi Stadium. He has already hit four fifties and three hundreds at this venue. He got off to a start in the first game and will look to cash on his rich form at the venue against MI.
Out of his 45 wickets in the IPL since 2022, Trent Boult has 32 of them in the powerplay – the most by any bowler in that phase. Moreover, he has conceded at just seven runs an over in this phase. Boult's ability to strike early makes him a useful weapon in any side and MI will hope that the veteran pacer delivers once again.
