Greater Noida News: Cloth left in woman’s stomach, negligence of doctors exposed

Family members said that initially normal delivery was assured, but later the woman was discharged with the newborn child. A few days after the discharge, the woman started having severe stomach pain. When the family repeatedly reached the hospital and sought help from the doctors, every time they were sent back as minor pain.

As the problem increased, the woman was taken to another private hospital in Greater Noida. After several investigations, doctors advised surgery. During the operation, the doctors took out a half meter long cloth from the woman’s stomach, which everyone was surprised to see. The doctor says that if there was no surgery on time, the woman’s life could have been serious threat. Vikas Verma, the husband of the victim woman, has complained to the district administration demanding strict action against Beksan Hospital and the concerned doctor.

Narendra Kumar, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Gautam Budh Nagar said that he has received a complaint in this matter. He said that this is a very serious matter. A committee has been formed for investigation. If the allegations are found correct in the investigation, strict action will be taken against the concerned hospital and doctor.
