Sarkari Naukri Apply for over 500 posts at jkssb.nic.in
There is good news for the youth preparing for a government job. Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued a notification of bumper recruitment on the posts of Junior Engineer (Civil) in Public Works (R&B) and Water Power Department. A total of 508 vacant posts will be filled under this recruitment campaign.
The online application process will start from 5 May 2025 and candidates can apply till 3 June 2025. Applications will only be accepted through JKSSB’s official website jkssb.nic.in. The examination date and center information will be released later on the website.
Vacancy details
Of the 508 vacancies, 150 posts will be filled under Public Works (R&B) Department and 358 posts will be filled under Water Power Department. This opportunity is special for those youth who want to make a career in the technical field.
Ability
The applying candidate should have a three -year diploma in civil engineering or a degree in civil engineering from a recognized Indian university. Also, the candidate should be a resident of Jammu and Kashmir and it is necessary to have a valid domicile certificate till the last application date.
Age limit
Open merit and maximum age for government service/contract employees is 40 years. The maximum age for ex -servicemen is 48 years. While 42 years of maximum age has been kept for physically handicapped candidates. Also, the maximum age for reserved categories like SC/ST/RBA/EWS/OBC is 43 years.

Application fee will have to be paid so much
For recruitment, general class candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 600. While a fee of Rs 500 has been fixed for SC, ST, EWS and PWBD candidates candidates. The fee will have to be paid online through net banking, credit card or debit card.

Exam pattern
For the post of Junior Engineer (Civil), objective type questions of 120 marks will be asked in the examination. The exam will be in English language and negative marking will also be applicable. Candidates will be given 120 minutes to solve the paper.
