Amul milk price: After Mother Dairy, famous Amul Dairy has also announced to increase the prices of milk. Increased prices will be applicable from Thursday (May 01, 2025). Announcing the announcement, Amul said that he announces an increase in the price of his milk products by Rs 2 per liter, which will be effective from the morning of May 1. This price increase will be applicable to different amul milk variants.
Increased prices will affect major products like Amul Standard Milk, Buffalo Milk, Gold, Slim & Trim, T-Special, Fresh and Cow Milk. The buffalo’s milk full cream used to get 500 mL of Rs 36, now you will get Rs 37. If 1 liter of milk is taken, then it will get Rs 73 instead of Rs 71. According to Amul, this increase shows an increase of 3-4 percent in the maximum retail price (MRP), which is said that it is less than the current average food inflation.

Decision taken due to increasing cost on raw materials
This step has been taken after the increase in similar prices made by Mother Dairy. Mother Dairy had increased milk prices by Rs 2 per liter from Wednesday, 30 April 2025. Mother Dairy had increased milk prices to partial compensation of rising costs on raw materials. Mother Dairy sells about 35 lakh liters of milk per day in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) market through its outlets, shopkeepers and e-commerce platforms.
Mother dairy milk is also sold in other states including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Bihar. An official of Mother Dairy said late on Tuesday, “This price amendment became necessary for a significant increase in the purchase cost. The cost on purchase has increased by four to five rupees per liter in the last few months.
How much is the price now
The official said that the increase in procurement cost was mainly due to early heat coming and heat -like situation. Mother Dairy gives 70-80 percent of its retail value to dairy (milk) farmers. The price of toned milk (wholesale) in Delhi-NCR increased from Rs 54 per liter to Rs 56 per liter. The price of full-cream milk (pouch) and toned milk (pouch) was increased by Rs 1 per liter to Rs 69 per liter and Rs 57 per liter respectively. Double-tond milk increased by Rs 2 per liter to Rs 51 per liter. The price of cow’s milk was increased from Rs 57 per liter to Rs 59 per liter.
Mother Dairy increased the prices of full-cream, toned, double-tond and cow’s milk by one rupee per liter in a small pack of 500 ml. Half a liter full-cream milk will cost Rs 35, the price of toned milk will be Rs 29, the price of double-tond will be Rs 26 and the price of cow’s milk will be Rs 30.
