The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is all set to resume this week with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) taking on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in match 58 after a brief hiatus.
The tournament returns after tensions heightened between India and Pakistan at the borders that resulted in PBKS vs DC game being abandoned on May 8 in Dharamsala.
However, the BCCI has revised the schedule for the tournament with 17 matches being held across six venues with the final on June 3.
RCB, who are second in the IPL 2025 points table, take on a mid-table KKR with the hosts looking to seal top spot with a win. Virat Kohli will be playing for the first time since announcing his Test retirement whereas there are doubts over the availability of Josh Hazlewood.
The current holders will look to spoil RCB’s party and climb up the points table.
