Even though Gujarat had a strong campaign last year, their management is keen on adding some fresh names to fix small gaps that showed up. Some of their big names have been retained, while a few familiar faces might not be part of the team next year.
Several overseas and domestic players have been released as GT aim to create room for new signings in the upcoming mini auction. Overseas Players like Kusal Mendis, Sherfane Rutherford, and Dasun Shanaka have been let go.
Among the bowlers, Gerald Coetzee and Gurnoor Singh Brar have also been released. All-rounder Karim Janat was also among those released.

The Titans have continued to trust their core group that has been consistent over the past few seasons. Captain Shubman Gill, along with Sai Sudharsan and Rashid Khan, remain central to GT’s plans. These three are expected to form the spine of the squad again.
Among all-rounders, Washington Sundar, Sai Kishore, and Rahul Tewatia have all been retained. However, sources indicate that Tewatia’s position could still be under review due to his inconsistent batting form in IPL 2025.Â

There has been plenty of noise in the trade window involving Gujarat Titans. Reports claim that Chennai Super Kings showed strong interest in Washington Sundar, hoping to bring the Tamil Nadu all-rounder back home.
However, GT have reportedly declined multiple offers from CSK, including a player swap and even an all-cash deal. For now, Sundar remains an important part of Gujarat’s setup.
