Valuable things prepared from junk
Highlights
- Aastha is becoming furniture from junk in Green Village.
- Old tires, bottles and rims are being decorated.
- The wall of plants was made from glass bottles.
It is said that junk is of no use, but if the thinking is creative then the same junk is not less than a treasure. The same thing has been shown by ‘Aastha Green Village’ located in Khajuraho in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, where old tires, bottles, rims, pots and broken things are getting new lives and are becoming attractive decorations and part of furniture.
Raju here says that the biggest feature of our Green Village is that the things that become useless, we do not throw them, but by giving new looks, we turn into precious useful goods. Whether it is the old rim of a bicycle or a useless glass bottle from a hotel is everyone’s job here.
Bad Rim became gate and stool
Raju says that we decorated the gate with the rusty rims of the bicycle, prepared the beautiful boards and also made a strong stool to sit. They were given a look like art piece by giving paint and color on them.
Tire swing and sofa
People throw old motorcycles and car tires as junk, but in Aastha Green Village, tire sofas and swings are made from them which also look stylish and are also durable.
Bottles of bottles became a wall
Glass bottles have been used instead of bricks in the beds of plants here. On one hand, where cement and brick were saved, on the other hand a great design was prepared. The counter made of mats and bottles has given this place a unique identity.
Table made of glass pieces
Raju says that he bought glass from the scrap for 20 rupees, and made a beautiful table with the same glasses. Those who come here are shocked to see how such a beautiful work was done with junk.
