Ambitious Ashwin? Retired India spinner sets Rs 1.06 crore for ILT20 Auction 2025 – InsideSport

Former Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has registered himself for a base price of $120,000 in the ILT20 auction, set to take place on October 1. The Tamil Nadu spinner retired from the Indian Premier League (IPL) last month, paving the way for his entry into other T20 leagues across the globe. While reports suggest that Ashwin is bound to finalize a deal with a Big Bash League (BBL) in the coming week, he could potentially be picked as a part of an ILT20 side before that.
As per ESPNCricInfo, Ashwin has registered himself for a base price of $120,000 (Rs 1.06 crore) in the ILT20 auction. The auction will be held in Dubai on October 1. Ashwin’s base price is the highest for any player in the tournament’s auction history. Previously, Ashwin returned to CSK after over a decades’ gap after being bagged for Rs 9.75 crore in the IPL 2025 mega-auction.
Ashwin is among the 24 Indians who have registered themselves for the ILT20 auction for the upcoming edition. ILT20 is scheduled to run from December 2 to January 4. Thus, if Ashwin is picked in the ILT20 auction, then it naturally makes sense that he will be a part of BBL (if he signs an agreement) only in the latter stages of the tournament.
