Asaduddin Owaisi on all-party meeting: The central government is holding an all -party meeting today (24 April), in which the leaders of all political parties will be informed about the Pahalgam terror attack and their views will also be heard. According to government sources, in this meeting, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah will give information related to the attack. The meeting will be chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi has said that he was not invited to this meeting. After this, he spoke to Union Minister Kiren Rijiju over the phone. Owaisi has also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to include all the parties in this meeting.

Asaduddin Owaisi said that he had talked to Kiren Rijiju last night about the all -party meeting to be held on Pahalgam. Rijiju said that they are thinking of calling only those parties who have 5 or 10 MPs. When Owaisi asked why parties with less MPs are not being called, Rijiju said that the meeting will be very long. When Owaisi said “what is our then?” So Rijiju jokingly said that your voice is very loud anyway.

Owaisi said that this is not a meeting of the BJP or any one party, but it is an all -party meeting, which aims to give a united and strong message against terrorism and the countries that give them shelter. He asked, “Can Prime Minister Modi not give an hour -long extraction to listen to all the parties? Your own party does not have a majority alone.” Owaisi said, “Whether a party has 1 MP or 100, they have all been elected by the people of India and everyone should be heard on such a big issue.”

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi said that this is not an issue of politics, but it is a big issue related to the country. Therefore, every party should be heard. Appealing to Prime Minister Modi, he said, “I request the Prime Minister to make this meeting a true all-party meeting. All the parties who are MPs in Parliament should be called to this meeting.”

Why is an all -party meeting?

On Wednesday, it was decided that a meeting of all parties would be called. For this, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to different parties. When there is a big threat to the security of the country, then the government calls all political parties together and discusses. This has also happened before, such as the Pulwama attack in 2019 or the tension between India-China in 2020. The purpose of such meetings is that the unity of the country is seen and all the leaders should talk together on the solution.
