BCCI Cuts IPL 2026 Auction List to 350; de Kock Makes Comeback – The Live Nagpur

The BCCI has released the final list for the IPL 2026 mini-auction, reducing the earlier pool of 1,355 players to 350 after detailed discussions with franchises.
According to a Cricbuzz report, the revised list features 35 new additions and marks the comeback of South African wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock.
The auction will be held on December 16 at 1 pm local time (2:30 pm IST) at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The updated list reflects a sharp, more focused selection, cutting nearly three-fourths of the initial names.
De Kock, who was missing from the initial list, was later nominated by a franchise. The 33-year-old recently returned from international retirement and impressed with a century in Visakhapatnam, increasing interest in him. He enters the auction with a base price of ₹1 crore — half of his previous tag of ₹2 crore, for which Kolkata Knight Riders had signed him before releasing him after a below-par season.
