The 23 -year -old Eddie Burton and his 25 -year -old girlfriend Sian Banks together created a dangerous illegal business, which was priced at £ 20 million (Rs 2,24,74,64,000), but now their empire has collapsed and both will have to face their punishment. It is said that in the summer of 2022, two trucks of the US Border Force caught two trucks, including 307 kg of drugs, priced at £ 20 million i.e. about Rs 224 crore. The first truck was caught on 3 July 2022 in Dover, Kent, with 90 kg ketamine and 50 kg cocaine boxes and a supermarket bag. Then on 12 August 2022, a second truck was caught, in which 142 kg cocaine and 25 kg of heroin were hidden in a special type of fuel tank. In the investigation, Burton’s fingerprints and DNAs were found on these drugs, after which his search started. The police conducted a big operation to catch the child’s Barton. Eventually, he was caught in 2023 in Ibiza’s famous Pacha Nichclub, where he was having a party in a fake name. He was first sent to Germany and then brought to the UK in March 2024.

Burton confessed to four drug smuggling allegations, while his girlfriend Sian Banks confessed to seven allegations after his arrest, including drug smuggling and money laundering. Both were produced in Cancerbury Crown Court on 12 February 2025. During this, Burton’s lawyer presented a letter, due to which the decision of punishment was postponed. In the letter, Burton wrote, “There were some things that I could do in a different way, but my family was threatened to kill him.” Although the punishment may have been averted, but surprisingly, the wrong path of Burton started when he was only 10 years old. He started selling drugs in the streets of Liverpool. His grandmother said, “He was younger, but went on the wrong path. I used to think he was selling drugs.” On the other hand, Sian Banks was fond of luxury life. In her social media pictures, she was seen in yacht party and glamorous nights. She wanted to become an influencer, but she also chose the wrong path.

Investigation revealed that Sian went to Spain and Netherlands every month and met Burton, where he lived from 2022 to 2023. In June 2022, she went to the Netherlands and helped Burton preparing the first drugs. He was afraid that he had fingerprints on the drug bags, so he messaged Burton. Burton replied, “If you have never been arrested, don’t worry.” But his mistake caught him. National Crime Agency Commander John Turner said, “Burton and Banks together tried to bring dangerous drugs in the UK. Banks played a big role in hiding money and smuggling drugs.” However, Burton’s lawyer notu Hoon said that his client said he was forced. In such a situation, keeping the entire facts in mind should be sentenced. After listening to all the cross -examination, the judge convicted Burton and will sentence him this month, while Burton’s girlfriend Banks was sentenced to five years in jail for his crime.
