Congress CWC Meeting: The meeting of the extended Working Committee of the Congress will be held today (Tuesday) at 11:30 am in Sardar Patel Memorial in Ahmedabad. About 169 leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi will attend this meeting. Necessary changes in the party organization will be discussed in the meeting. Especially, there can be talk of giving more rights to district presidents and fixing their role in ticket distribution in elections. Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plan to strengthen the Congress in Gujarat’s home state of Gujarat and bring it to power will also be considered. After the meeting, all the leaders will go to Sabarmati Ashram in the evening, where they will pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and will participate in the Bhajan Sandhya.

Congress session on 9 April

Tomorrow i.e. on April 9, the Congress session will be held on the banks of the Sabarmati river. It will include about 2,500 leaders and members of the All India Congress Committee (AICC). Proposals on political, economic and social issues will be passed in this session.

Priyanka Gandhi can get important responsibility

According to the report of India Today, a senior Congress leader said that the party is paying attention to how much more responsibility can be given to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, especially when elections are coming closer in some big states. Some internal sources of the party have indicated that they may be given the in -charge of an important state or some big election responsibility.

At present, Priyanka Gandhi is the general secretary of the Congress, but she has no special department or responsibility. For this reason, units of many states and senior party leaders have suggested that their political experience and ability to connect with the public should be used better.

Significantly, Priyanka Gandhi had previously played an important role in the elections of Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh. However, his responsibilities in the party have not been clear for the last few months.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said in one of his posts on X that due to the government’s tariff policy, investors lost about Rs 19 lakh crore in the stock market. He also alleged that the government is putting more burden on the common people by increasing the price of tax and gas cylinders on petrol and diesel.

On the previous day, Rahul Gandhi also lashed out at the government and said, “Finally Modi ji gave a befitting reply to the tariff. Tax and gas cylinders on petrol and diesel increased further.”
