At the top, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravndra are expected to open the innings. Conway might have a tough time finding a spot in the XI in 2025 as Tripathi and Dube fit in perfectly for the roles at Number 3 and 4, respectively.
With the addition of Curran in the line-up, they have a decent all-round option, but his form isn’t the best currently. The team appears to miss a reliable power-hitter and finisher in the middle and lower order.

Currently, they could go with either Deepak Hooda or Vijay Shankar in that role, while Overton could be a decent alternative for a power-hitting all-rounder but will take up an overseas spot. 
Ravindra Jadeja remains a vital asset, providing experience in the lower middle order alongside MS Dhoni. With Ashwin’s return, CSK will have an additional spin option, and he will complement Jadeja and Noor Ahmad.
Khaleel is likely to operate primarily in the powerplay while Pathirana is their most reliable asset at the death overs. Nathan Ellis and Jamie Overton provide quality backup options.
