The 18th season of the Indian Premier League is heading towards the finale. Royal Challengers Bengaluru find themselves just one step away from lifting their maiden IPL title. Their opponent for the final on June 3 will be decided after today’s Eliminator between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians.
But the buzz around RCB’s resurgence is growing louder by the day. Joining the voice is Australian opener and former IPL-winning captain David Warner, who has made a bold prediction.

Responding to a fan on X, Warner backed RCB to win the IPL 2025 title and singled out Josh Hazlewood as the potential match-winner.
“I think RCB and Josh hazelwood man of the match,” Warner wrote on X.
Warner’s faith in his compatriot is not without reason. Josh Hazlewood has been RCB’s most reliable bowler this season.

He picked up 21 wickets in just 11 matches. His best performance came against Rajasthan Royals, where he took 4 wickets for 33 runs.
In Qualifier 1 against Punjab Kings, Hazlewood’s precise lines and control helped him bag three crucial wickets, putting RCB in a dominant position. His performances haven’t gone unnoticed.

With the IPL final set to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, all eyes will be on Hazlewood to deliver once again before he heads to England for the World Test Championship Final. Warner’s prediction may just come true if RCB can hold their nerve and Hazlewood continues his red-hot form.
