A liquor shop was opened at a distance of five steps of Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple near Cattle Hospital located in Kasim Bazar, Ballia. Due to this, women had to face problems in coming to the temple and worshiping. In such a situation, people demanded the removal of liquor shop from here. The protests started on this demand continued continuously for 10 days. This included the hunger strike and closing of the temple after the demonstration, as well as covering it with black tarpaulin.
