India-Rus Trade Tariffs: US President Donald Trump’s statement that India puts 58 percent tariff on US products, these days is in the news, but Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has revealed the truth by refuting the claim.
Piyush Goyal made it clear on Monday i.e. April 7 that the fee that India imposes on American products is not only 58 percent but only 7-8 percent. He said that this fee is not more in any way and is completely in line with the standards of global trade.
Fairness of India’s trade policy is fairness
Goyal also said that India operates its business relations with fairness and transparency. India believes that it can make trade agreements with countries that follow fair trade activities.
America imposed 26 percent reciperoot tariff
Goyal also informed that the US has recently imposed 26 percent recipe on Indian products. He described it as inappropriate and trade, which can be harmful for both countries. Piyush Goyal said, “America has imposed an additional 26 percent of Indian products, which is unfair.”
Charges on China and BYD’s entry into India
Goyal also targeted China’s business policies and said that China’s unfair trade methods are causing problems in global trade. He also said that China’s carmaker BYD’s entry into India is not necessary at this time, because its business methods are not suitable for the Indian market.
Goyal made it clear that the world is now moving from globalization and moving towards globally. They believe that if countries with fair trade policies come together, then it can become a golden opportunity for India.
India’s fee is for safety
Finally, Goyal said that India’s fee system is to provide protection from illegal trade behavior such as dumping. This policy is to protect India from those countries, which create imbalance in the global market by selling their products cheaply.
