DPL 2025: 3 Prominent IPL 2025 Players Who Will Play The Tournament – Cricket.com

With the second edition of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) set to begin on August 2 (Saturday), we look at some prominent players from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 who will turn up at the tournament.

Nitish Rana was an important player for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for seven seasons, but moved to Rajasthan Royals (RR) last season, where he struck 217 runs at a healthy strike rate of 161.94. Overall, Rana has played 118 matches in the IPL and has hit 2,853 runs, including 20 fifties.

Ever since Ayush Badoni was snapped up by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in 2022, the batter has shown improvement every year. He has been entrusted to play every match for the franchise since his debut and has slammed close to 1,000 IPL runs in 46 innings, which includes as many as six fifties. Even though LSG had a poor IPL 2025, Badoni shone bright for them, hitting 329 runs – his most across all IPL seasons – at a strike rate of 148.19.

Priyansh Arya, who made his name in the DPL last season, showed that he has what it takes to play in the IPL as well. In his maiden IPL season, the 23-year-old hit 475 runs at a strike rate of 179.24 for Punjab Kings (PBKS), justifying his price tag of INR 3.8 crore. He will now hope to use all his experience and help the Warriors win the title.
