Dwarka Court harshita brella murder case in London accused parents police custody ANN

Delhi crime news: Delhi’s Dwarka Court has sent the parents of Pankaj Lamba, an accused in the Harshita Brala murder case in London, to a one-day police custody. Please tell that last year a woman named Harshita Brala was killed in London. The woman’s husband Pankaj Lamba was accused of murder. Delhi Police had demanded the court to take Pankaj Lamba’s father Darshan Singh and mother into custody. The police had argued that both had to be questioned.

Harshita’s family registered a case at Palam Village Police Station. The police arrested Lamba’s parents on 14 March in connection with cruelty and dowry harassment. After the arrest, both were sent to judicial custody by the court. Pankaj Lamba and sister, the main suspect of the London murder case, are still absconding. The police has issued a look out circular against Pankaj Lamba. The proceedings to declare fugitive criminals have also been started.

Pankaj Lamba’s parents have filed a bail petition in Dwarka court. The bail plea can be heard in Dwarka court on March 21. In November, Harshita Brala’s body was recovered from a car trunk on Brisbane Road in East London. In the post -mortem, the initial cause of death was strangled.

Parents of accused in police custody

The Northamptonshire police have identified Pankaj Lamba as the main suspect. In March 2023, Harshita Brala was married to Pankaj Lamba. Investigators found that Pankaj Lamba fled the United Kingdom on 11 November and reached Mumbai before coming to Delhi on 12 November. The FIR of Palam Village Police also has two other relatives.
