Eid 2025: The Eid moon in Saudi Arabia has appeared on Saturday (29 March 2025). In such a situation, this festival will be celebrated on 30 March in Saudi. At the same time, the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in India a day later in Saudi Arabia. After seeing the moon, Saudi Arabia has officially announced that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Sunday.

Ramadan started earlier in Saudi Arabia

Ramadan in Saudi Arabia started a day before India i.e. March 1. This is the reason that the festival of Eid in India will be celebrated on 31 March after one day from Saudi Arabia. Every time in Saudi Arabia, the moon of Eid is seen a day before India. However, when Eid will be celebrated, it depends entirely on the moon.

There was a movement in markets across the country

Eid is celebrated on the first date of Shawwal, the tenth month after the end of the month of Ramadan. On this day, people congratulate each other on Eid, prayers are performed in Eidgah and various dishes are made along with sweet services. Eid-ul-Fitr has increased in markets across the country. People are shopping fiercely at bakery, confectionery, readymade garment and crockery shops. Traders say that there are long lines of buyers at bakery shops.

On the day of Eid, people start eating and drinking throughout the day after fasting for a month, special prayers are offered in mosques, gives Edi to big children and people go to meet each other. In many states of the country including Delhi-Mumbai, the administration has made strict security arrangements to conduct the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr in a peaceful manner.
