Former SRH Captain And WTC Winner To Don A New Role In IPL 2025 After Going Unsold In Mega Auction – Republic World

The IPL has brought in Kane Williamson as a commentator for the 18th edition. Star Sports has recently unveiled the star-studded commentary panel for the IPL 2025 and Williamson has been included on the list. This will be his debut as a commentator in cricket.
Having not been retained by Gujarat Titans, Kane Williamson enlisted himself in the IPL 2025 mega auction but no teams picked him up and he remained unsold. The former New Zealand skipper has represented Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Titans in the IPL and is regarded as one of the finest batters around currently.
Williamson will do commentary for the IPL national feed which will also feature the likes of Virender Sehwag, Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh while the world feed will have the likes of Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri and Harsha Bhogle.
