After completing Qualifier 2 last night, Shreyas Iyer and Co. will face the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final clash on June 3. But amid the buzz, Iyer highlights the toll of a jam-packed schedule.
In the entire IPL 2025 season, fans enjoyed mad forms from the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Punjab Kings. Throughout the season, they kept the domination alive and set to cross swords in the final match, aiming for their maiden IPL trophies. Fans can’t wait to see who’ll lift the coveted prize.
After wrapping up Qualifier 2 against the Mumbai Indians on June 1, Shreyas Iyer and Co. will face RCB in the final showdown. According to the Times Of India, the tight turnaround left PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer confessing he barely got any sleep due to the grueling schedule.
“I couldn’t sleep. I hardly had four hours of sleep, and I am here. I went to my room. And then the next thing I know, I am here doing the PC,” Iyer said.
In the last clash against the Mumbai Indians, PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer unleashed his best form. With the team in trouble, he forged an epic 84-run stand with Nehal Wadhera, hammering a match-winning unbeaten 87, the second-highest score after David Warner. While reflecting at this, he addressed it as his ‘Top most knock’.
“Top most knock I have played in IPL”, Iyer said.
As the final is almost here, the thrillers are already touching the sky. After falling short against RCB in Qualifier 1, Punjab Kings now have a golden opportunity to exact revenge and seize their maiden IPL trophy.
