RCB’s recent buy Blessing Muzarabani showcased his calibre as a potent red-ball bowler, as he rattled Ben Stokes and Harry Brook in Zimbabwe’s ongoing one-off Test against England at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. Muzarabani emerged as Zimbabwe’s most successful bowler, scalping three out of the six wickets that the Chevrons could pick in England’s first innings.
Zimbabwe’s experienced speedster Blessing Muzarabani grabbed the limelight with a superb spell in the ongoing Test match against England. After the hosts resumed their innings from 498 for three, with Ollie Pope and Harry Brook batting in the middle.
As Pope was trapped plumb in front of the stumps, skipper Ben Stokes joined Brook to add crucial runs to the Englishmen’s tally. However, Muzarabani spoiled his party with a sharp bumper, getting him caught in the deep.
The RCB pacer followed it up with an absolute ripper to Brook, who got played on while trying to guide the ball through the off-side.
Soon after dismissing Brook, Muzarabani roared, celebrating his success in a jovial manner. His brief spell signified his ability to make the ball talk, proving why RCB preferred him over more reputed names from across the world.
Recently, RCB purchased Blessing Muzarabani for INR 75 lakhs as a replacement for Lungi Ngidi for the playoff matches. His stint with the Royal Challengers will be effective from May 26 onwards.
He is currently with the Zimbabwe team for the one-off Test, which will conclude on the 25th of this month. Meanwhile, Ngidi will leave the RCB camp on May 26 to join his South African teammates for the WTC final, which will be played at Lord’s from June 11 to 15.
