Welcome to Sportstar’s live coverage of the Gujarat Titans vs Punjab Kings IPL 2025 match. This is Pranay Rajiv and Sahil Mathur bringing you the updates.

Arshdeep to bowl. Run out! Tewatia is run out at the non strikers’ end. Rutherford hit the ball straight, touched Arshdeep’s hand and crashed into the stumps. Tewatia was out of his crease. Shahrukh Khan will be there at the non strikers’ end. 
Vyshak. Four! Rutherford slashes towards deep third for four. He now drives the ball towards cover and gets a double. Another four! Another slash this time towards backward point. Rahul Tewatia facing his first ball. Swing and a miss. Tewatia has reviewed for no ball. Not a no ball, it’s a fair delivery. SIX! Slog sweeps over square leg. 
Jansen. Rutherford opens the face of the bat and slices the ball towards deep third for four. Full toss wide outside off, Buttler slashes for four towards backward point. Suryansh Shedge dived in attempt to catch the ball but couldn’t grab it. OUT! Buttler is gone. He gets an inside edge onto the stumps. He falls for 54 off 33 balls. 
Vyshak. He’s bowling really well here, quick outside off. Punjab has reviewed a wide given, and it has been turned to legal delivery. Already three wides this over. Now Rutherford has reviewed a no ball. It’s a fair delivery. Terrific bowling, sticking to wide outside off line. Just five runs from the over. 
Jansen is back. Punjab bowlers are going full and wide to these two batters. Boundaries have dried up since the last over. A double to end the over. Just eight from the over. 
Vyshak into the attack. Buttler slashes, ball goes towards short third but Chahal does well to stop a certain boundary. Vyshak keeping it full and wide. A very good over, just five runs off it. 
Vijaykumar Vyshak comes in place of Priyansh Arya as impact sub. 
Stoinis. SIX! Rutherford pulls the ball over square leg. Follows it up with a four past backward point. Another SIX! Short ball and Rutherford pulls it over fine leg. 17 runs came in that over. 
Arshdeep is back and Buttler welcomes him with a huge SIX over long on. Ball went way into the crowd. OUT! Sudharsan is caught. On the pads, Sudharsan picks it up but is caught at deep square leg. He falls for 74 off 41 balls. 
Sherfane Rutherford in at four. Off the mark with a single. Buttler continues from the other end as he drives towards cover region for four. 
Sudharsan begins Chahal’s over with a four towards fine leg. SIX!! A huge slog sweep way into the crowd towards midwicket region. Sudharsan is down on the ground, cramps possibly. Sudharsan comes down the track and slaps the ball straight for four. 17 runs from the over. 
Maxwell is back. SIX! Sudharsan pulls the ball over deep midwicket. And Buttler finishes the over with another maximum over long off. 
Chahal pushes one in and Sudharsan cracks it over long off for a six. Gets a single now with a slog sweep. GT needs to up the ante if it wants to stay in this game. Another single for Sudharsan and that brings up his fifty. 
Buttler gets going, finally with two fours against Jansen. One with an on drive and the other with a pull shot. But, Jansen closes out the over well. Just two singles from the last four balls. 
First over for Chahal with Punjab Kings. Drags it short and Sudharsan slams it between long on deep mid wicket for a four. Buttler vs Chahal now. The English batter attempts reverse sweep. Misses it completely. 
Jos Buttler is the new batter for GT. Stoinis into the attack. Sudharsan attempts an expansive drive. Edged and runs away for a four. Buttler gets off the mark with a double to deep mid wicket. 
Short and wide for the last ball. Sudharsan slashes at it. Omarzai can only parry it over the fence at deep third. SIX!!
Glenn Maxwell with his off spin now. Fuller ball and Gill sweeps it over square leg for a four. Gill goes with slog sweep now. Just two runs though. Gill attempts another big shot. Leading edge and it is a skier. Priyansh Arya completes the catch.

Marco Jansen gets his first crack with the ball. Couple of singles to start the over. Sudharsan pre meditates a scoop and executes it pretty well. SIX!! Over deep fine leg. Gill too gets a six of his own. Clobbers a fuller ball over long on for a six. 
Second over for Omarzai. GT openers continue to deal in risky singles. This time it is Sudharsan running towards the danger end. Full from Omarzai and Gill employs the pick up shot to get his first six of the innings. Short from Omarzai and Gill pulls it to perfection. SIX!!
Arshdeep continues. Gill gets off strike again with a single to the off side. Arshdeep troubles Sudharsan with a few well-targetted short balls. Just two runs from the over. 
Omarzai around the wicket to Sudharsan. Flicked away for a single. Gill dabs one to off side and sets off for a risky single. A better throw would have been his end. Full and straight from Omarzai. Sudharsan lobs it over long on for the first six of the game. 
Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill opening for GT. Sudharsan gets his innings underway by tucking Arshdeep down the leg side for a four. Better line from Arshdeep now. Cramps Sudharsan up for space.

Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer recorded his highest score in Indian Premier League during his side’s IPL 2025 opener against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.
Siraj for the final over. Shashank upper cuts over short third for four. Shashank flicks and takes double. Shreyas on 97 at the other end. Four! Shashank smashes it towards cover. Another four! Punches towards cover. Four! Flicks towards square leg. So Shreyas won’t be getting his hundred. A four to end the over! Upper cut over keeper. 
Shreyas remains unbeaten on 97. Shashank scores 44 off 16 balls. 
Rabada. Four! Shreyas moves to 95 with a flick towards midwicket. Rabada trying to keep it away from Shreyas. Yorker, Shreyas places the ball towards short third for a single. Shashank upper cuts and the ball lands safely in no-man’s land. 
Rashid. Now Shashank gets into the act and smacks his first six of the innings. He goes over long on. He follows it up with a four towards cover. Another SIX! Straight down the ground. 
Prasidh. Bouncer and Shreyas is hit on his lats. A quick medical check and he’s back. SIX! Back of the length and this time Shreyas pulls over midwicket. This is brilliant batting. Follows it up with a slash over backward point for four. Another SIX!! Pulled JUST over square leg. Fielder catches it but he was on the rope. Third six of the over! Six over covers this time. Shreyas this time tries to goes over long on but the fielder does it well to push the ball inside the field. Boundary check going on. Good effort in the end, saves four runs. 24 runs off the over. 
Kishore is back. Stoinis smacks the ball over long on for a SIX! OUT! Stoinis is gone. Tries to reverse sweep but hits it straight to short third. He falls after scoring 20 off 15 balls. 
Shashank Singh at the crease. Takes a single off the first ball. Punjab looking good to go past 220 at this stage. Kishore finishes his spell well. 
Siraj is back. SIX! Half-tracker and Stoinis sends the ball over square leg region. Bouncer by Siraj, Stoinis leaves but umpire doesn’t give a wide, Punjab has reviewed it. It is a wide. 150-up for Punjab! SIX!! This time Shreyas pulls the ball over fine leg. Another 17-run over. 
Rashid again. A single after two dot balls. Stoinis tries to sweep fine, doesn’t time it well but gets a single. SIX! Fifty for Shreyas in style. Read the googly quickly and slaps the ball over long on. A fifty off 27 balls. He follows it up with another maximum, this time way over the midwicket boundary. 
Kishore. SIX! Inside out by Shreyas and the ball goes over cover boundary. Shreyas looking to make room and exploit the off side. Another SIX! This time JUST over long on. He gives the strike to Stoinis. Now Stoinis takes out the reverse scoop over short third for four. 17 came in that over. 
Rashid for his second over. A good over so far, just two singles off the first four balls. Just three runs from the over. 
Kishore continues. Kishore keeping it tight on the stumps. OUT! Omarzai is gone. Went for a slog sweep but is caught in the deep. Omarzai goes for a 15-ball 16. 
The wicket brings Glenn Maxwell at the crease. Maxwell has been adjudged LBW off the first ball and he doesn’t take a review! First-ball duck for Maxwell. Was looking to reverse sweep but got beaten. 
Marcus Stoinis to face the hat-trick ball. He drives it towards cover. Splendid over, just a single off it. 
Prasidh continues. Length ball and Omarazai cracks it through covers for a four. Fuller now. Omarzai gets under it. Not the cleanest of shots. Over mid off for another four. Interesting over. Two fours and four dot balls. 
Gill brings in the left-arm spin of Sai Kishore with two right-handed batters out in the middle. He gets the better of Omarzai thrice. Three valuable dot balls gained. Superb over. Just two runs from it. 
Prasidh Krishna introduced. Goes wide first up and Shreyas cuts it away for a four. Better line from Prasidh for the rest of the over. Even Just five runs from the five balls after the boundary. 
Not the greatest start for Rashid Khan. Drags one down the leg side and Priyansh sweeps it away for a four. But, Rashid gets his man. Priyansh is left clueless by a googly. Top edged and easy catch for Sai Sudharsan.

Omarzai is the new batter for PBKS and he goes after Rashid straight away. Tonks it straight down the ground for a six. 
Full and nipping in from Rabada. Strikes Shreyas on the pad. Nothing from the umpire and GT reviews. Ball tracking shows the impact was outside the leg stump. GT loses a review. 
Rabada pitches it up and Priyansh crunches it through covers for a four. Shreyas adds another four by guiding one past short third. 
Priyansh continues to go after the bowlers. Swings at a wide fuller one from Arshad. Gets an edge, which screams past the keeper for a four. Uppish cover drive now. Flies through covers. FOUR MORE!! Width again from Arshad. Carved behind point for a six by Priyansh. Full and straight from Arshad. Crunched straight back for another four. 
In comes skipper Shreyas Iyer and he gets off the mark with a superb uppish straight drive. FOUR!! Shreyas slashes one over point to gather two more runs. On the pads now. Shreyas deposits over square leg for a six. Some way to get your captaincy stint underway. 
Prabhsimran’s struggle ends. He top edges a Rabada length ball straight to Arshad at deep third. 
Siraj raps Priyansh on the pad. Subdued appeal, considering the ball had pitched outside leg. Siraj now swings it away from Prabhsimran who fails to make any contact. 
Siraj swings it into Priyansh’s arc. Swiped away for a six over square leg. Clean strike! Not so clean shot next up. Thick edge and it flies past deep third for a four. 
Rabada from the other end. Prabhsimran’s turn to get off the mark. Single to leg side. Priyansh chips one over covers for a couple of runs. 
Length ball from Rabada. Priyansh swipes at it. Two fielders under it. But Arshad fails to hold onto the chance. DROPPED!! Prabhsimran gets a four off the last ball of the over.

Priyansh gets one on the pads and he flicks it away for a four. First runs in IPL for the left-handed batter. Once again on the pads. This time it is leg byes. Four more! Siraj brings the line back in. Priyansh misses out. 
Priyansh Arya (120) hit six maximums in an over, taking South Delhi Superstarz to a whopping 308 for five against North Delhi Strikers in the Delhi Premier League.

Gujarat Titans has won the toss and opts to bowl. 
There’s grass covering but that hasn’t stopped teams from scoring 200-plus scores. Dew is expected at the interval. You got to chase. It is a batter’s wicket, and you need to make the most of it.
The presence of Jos Buttler bolsters Gujarat Titans’ batting department, even though captain Shubman Gill indicated that the team management is yet to decide on the batting position for the England star.
