According to the Meteorological Department, this year the heat can break all the records. At the same time, there are many such states, where heatwave started from March instead of May-June. The maximum temperature in Gujarat and some areas of Rajasthan has gone from 40 to 42 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, hot winds are going on in many places in Odisha, Vidarbha and Goa.

In these states, before time, heat started

According to IMD, the heat of February this year broke the record of 125 years. The first Heatwave (Lu) was recorded in Goa and Maharashtra on 25 February 2025 this year. India’s highest temperature was recorded at 43.6 degrees Celsius on 16 March 2025 in Odisha. Its Awala reached 42 degrees Celsius in Jharsugada, Odisha and 41.7 degrees in Bolangir. Last year, this situation was created in Odisha in May.

There will be fire in Delhi by the end of March

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, Delhi’s temperature can reach 40 degrees Celsius by the end of March this year. In such a situation, it is being estimated that this year, more scorching heat can be seen. According to IMD, there is a possibility of scorching heat in the plains of Ganga of Telangana, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal during the next few days. The temperature in these places is expected to be much higher than normal.

According to the Meteorological Department, the night temperature was higher than normal in the month of February this year. During this period, in 22 states and union territories, the temperature was recorded 3-5 degrees Celsius above normal at least once a night. According to the IMD, February was a temperature of 22.04 degrees Celsius, which was 1.34 degrees above normal.
