How to watch IPL 2025 in the United States – Goal.com

One of the global sporting events of the year is getting underway on Indian soil
The IPL (Indian Premier League) T20 cricket has been exciting people all over the world and creating memorable moments since it first launched in 2008, and it has become bigger and better every single year since. If you’ve not experienced the thrills and spills, the astonishing bowling feats, the jaw-dropping catches or the hard-hitting feats previously, there’s no time like the present to get involved and start watching.
Although cricket isn’t one of the most popular sports in the United States, public interest has been growing in recent years, and you’ll be able to access live coverage of every IPL 2025 match from here in the States. The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, which the U.S. and the West Indies co-hosted, helped increase cricket's appeal across the nation. Central Broward Park (Florida), Nassau County Stadium (New York) and Grand Prairie Stadium (Texas) staged 16 matches during the tournament.
Just days after the T20 World Cup had ended, the second edition of Major League Cricket got underway, with world stars such as Faf du Plessis, Steve Smith and Rashid Khan all taking part. The creation of a professional cricket league in the U.S. and youth leagues are both helping to fuel interest further. The United States is also set to be the backdrop of cricket’s much-anticipated return to the Olympics, with the sport included in the Summer Games programme for Los Angeles 2028.

Ahead of the IPL 2025 season, the Mega Auction was held on November 24 & 25 last year. During the auction, the record for the most expensive player was broken twice. First, last year's winning Kolkata captain, Shreyas Iyer, was sold to Punjab for ₹26.75 crore rupees (US$3.1 million), before Rishabh Pant was bought by Lucknow for ₹27 crore (US$3.1 million). Amazingly, Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest player sold in IPL history at the age of 13 years, when he was bought by Rajasthan for ₹1.1 crore (US$130,000). Of those players staying put, Heinrich Klaasen became the most expensive retained player in IPL history for ₹23 crore (US$2.7 million).
