Chhatarpur: Dr. Beni Prasad Chansoria, a retired teacher from Chhatarpur district, has built a grand temple in memory of his wife. ‘Prem Mandir’ is built in Narsingh temple complex
This unique temple is located in the Narsingh temple complex on Panna Road in Chhatarpur city. Retired teacher Dr. BP Chansoria has built a grand temple of Radha-Krishna in memory of his late wife Vandana Chansoria. A life -size statue of his wife has also been installed in the temple, which the devotees stare at with love and respect.
Temple was built in 6 years
It took a total of six years to build this temple. Bhumi Pujan was done on 13 May 2017 and in 2023 the temple was fully completed. Skilled artists of Rajasthan contributed to the construction work. The grandeur, carving and artistry of the temple gives it a unique identity. Retired teacher has spent crores of rupees in this construction work. This was his entire life capital.
Wife fulfilled his incomplete wish
Dr. Chansoria says that his wife Vandana had expressed his desire to build a temple and ashram in Chitrakoot while alive. But this dream remained incomplete due to his sudden demise. To make the memory of his wife and his wish, he built this ‘Prem Prateek Temple’ in Chhatarpur. This temple is now associated with the stories of love of Radha-Krishna and Vandana Chansoria.
