Ignored and dropped by Team India, Abhimanyu Eawaran has made a late entry into the IPL 2026 mini-auction list. The right-handed baysman is considered a re-ball specialist. But Easwaran recently showed that he can also do well in T20s. Easwaran slammed an unbeaten 130 off just 60 balls in the league stage of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy game against Punjab on November 30. Abhishek Sharma also slammed a century in the fixture.
Cricbuzz has reported that Easwaran’s name has been added to the list along with 18 more players. His name will only come up if any of the teams ask for him during the accelerated round.
Eswaran has 1242 runs in 41 T20s. Batting with a strike rate of 132.97, Easwaran has hit 36 sixes and 111 fours in his career. His tally of 1242 runs includes two centuries and six half-centuries.

Easwaran is a legend in first-class cricket and has piled up 8136 runs in 109 matches. Easwaran, who averages 47.85, has 27 hundreds and 34 half-centuries in red-ball cricket. He has scored 3857 runs in 89 List A matches. He has never been part of an IPL team.
Abhimanyu Easwaran was ignored and dropped from Team India. He first made it to the Test squad during the Bangladesh tour in 2022 after an injury to captain Rohit Sharma. Easwaran stayed on the bench.
He was part of the 2024/25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia and the five-match Test series against England, but Easwaran didn’t get a chance. The selectors dropped him from the squad for the home series against West Indies.
He remains part of the India A cricket team but is uncapped in international cricket.
The IPL 2026 mini-auction will take place on December 16 in Abu Dhabi. The one-day event will kick off at 2:30 PM IST.
