JioStar, the official broadcaster, shared the numbers and they are massive. The entire tournament was watched for 840 billion minutes across TV and digital platforms.

That’s the highest ever for an IPL season. But the final was truly the cherry on the cake.
The final between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on June 3 in Ahmedabad was watched for 31.7 billion minutes.

On TV it was seen by 169 million people and digitally it had 892 million video views. The peak digital viewership was 55 million — the highest ever for a T20 match.
JioHotstar’s digital numbers grew by 29% this year. It got 23.1 billion views and 384.6 billion minutes of watch time. Even connected TV (CTV) which lets fans watch on smart TVs grew by 49%.
On the TV side Star Sports got 456 billion minutes of viewership. So fans were hooked no matter where they watched.
Even when the league had to pause for a week due to India-Pakistan tensions the interest didn’t drop.
In fact the first weekend after the break saw 49.5 billion minutes of viewing time — the biggest opening weekend for any IPL season. Fans were back in full force.
This season showed how deep IPL runs in people’s hearts. It wasn’t just about matches — it was about emotions, loyalty and unforgettable moments.




RCB finally winning, record breaking viewership and fans watching on every platform — IPL 2025 proved why it’s the biggest cricket league in the world. Now the challenge is to make IPL 2026 even bigger.
