KL Rahul has moved from LSG to DC and Rishabh Pant has gone from Delhi to Lucknow. This is the biggest change in both the teams and also the fact that, though Pant retained his stature as captain, Rahul isn’t even the vice-captain. 
It is against that backdrop that both teams will come face to face at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on March 24 (Monday). 
Both teams do not look very threatening because they have very few impact players. Due to the absence of ace pacers Mayank Yadav and Avesh Khan, LSG look very weak in bowling.
However, LSG seem to be one impact player extra as, apart from Pant and Nicholas Pooran, there is David Miller too, who is capable of taking the game away from the opposition in the LSG ranks. In Delhi, if Fraser-McGurk and Tristan Stubbs are removed early, their batting becomes very weak with Rahul and Duplessis playing in the same frame. 
But their Indian batters in Abhishek Porel and Ashutosh Sharma are more than capable of being the game-changer with their quickfire knocks. In bowling too, the trio of Mitchell Starc, T Natarajan and Mukesh Kumar do look more formidable than LSG’s pace group combining of Shardul Thakur, Akash Deep and Rajvardhan Hangargekar or Akash Singh.

On Paper, DC have a better bowling attack and if they are able to get going together, LSG will need all their batting guns to come to the party to try and win the match. 
JFM smashed a ton in a practice match and, given how good a hitter he is of the cricket ball, there is no doubt as to why he could not be the best batter at a batting-friendly wicket. 
This is going to be a high-scoring venue and until and unless there is huge pressure to chase in the middle-overs, spinners will not be the bowlers to back. Thus, someone like T Natarajan, who can bowl greatly at death and can also contain runs in the middle overs, will most likely be the best bowler. 
It is the same ground where Sunrisers Hyderabad smashed 272 last year and most totals are in the range of 180 or above if 2024 is taken as a reference point. Therefore, get ready for a run fest once again. 
With more than 70 percent humidity and cloud cover increasing from 24 percent to 34 per cent from 7 pm to 11 pm as the match progresses, it is going to be hot and sticky in Visakhapatnam. The odd ball might grip, but there will be dew and a lot of it to help the cause of the batters.
