This season of the IPL has been unexpected, to say the least, considering the events that have taken place off-field.
However, despite being one of the most unusual seasons, this is also one of the most boring seasons as far as the game is concerned.

The race to the playoffs has been disappointing at best, with the top four teams being decided already with 7 whole games still left to play.
Many fans have also complained about the one-sidedness of it all. Most of the crunch games this season have been subpar in terms of competition, to say the least, with one team completely dominating the other.

Apart from that, many teams have shown their inability to have a proper middle order that possesses the much-desired ability to stay to the very end and finish the game.




With the matches being as boring as ever, the public is expecting to see at least some fierceness in terms of quality cricket in the upcoming playoffs.
