Two teams that are already eliminated from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 – Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) – clash on May 25 (Sunday) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. It will be the final match of the season for both sides, and the only incentive for both teams is that a win will ensure that they finish above the other team.
In fact, a win for KKR could see them even finish as high as fifth. But SRH can only finish as high as seventh. Regardless of the standings, both teams would want to end the campaign on a high and will go all guns blazing to achieve that.

SRH have a bit of momentum having on their last two matches. Their batting too has clicked, and if that were to happen again, they will walk away with two points. KKR could be a tad rusty, with their first match since the restart against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) was washed out. They have not played competitive cricket for nearly three weeks.

Abhishek Sharma has found form at the latter stages of the tournament. His last three scores read: 34, 59 and 74. KKR will have to be wary of him at the top.

Varun Chakaravarthy has been the best bowler between the two sides, having picked up 17 scalps in 12 matches at an economy rate of seven. He will hope to add a few more in KKR's last match of the campaign

The spinners have been key at the Arun Jaitley Stadium this season. They have picked up nearly 52% of the wickets, but have done so at an average of 31.5, strike rate of 21.3 and an economy rate of 8.9 – all of which are significantly better than the fast bowlers.

There could be some light rain in Delhi on May 25 (Sunday), but as things stand, the forecast seems good enough to get a full match in. The temperature is expected to be 37°C at the start of the game, but will come down to 34°C.
