IPL 2025: Tanmay srivastava set to become first cricketer to play and umpire in Indian Premier League

Tanmay Srivastava, Member of the 2008 U19 World Cup-Winning Team Under Virat Kohli, is set to become the first player to feature in the Indian Premier League as a player and an umpire.

The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) on TuesDay Confirmed that Tanmay will be officially during the upcoming ipcoming IPL 2025.

Tanmay Played for Punjab Kings during the 2008 and 2009 Seasons, Known as Kings Xi Punjab then. However, he only batted through across the two seasons, scoring only eight runs. He was also a part of deccan charges, which was laater changed to sunrisers hyderabad, and kochi tuskers kerala in the following seasons but did not play for them.

Across Domestic Cricket, Tanmay Made 90 First-Class, 44 List A, and 34 T20 appearances for uttar pradesh, amassing more than 7,000 runs across the three formats.

Since hanging up his boots in 2020, tanmay has been an umpire at several domestic competitions, including the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Ranji Trophy.
