IPL 2025 To Continue Normally Amidst India-Pakistan Tensions: BCCI Source – Jagran English
IPL 2025: The Indian Premier League will continue as scheduled amid the escalating tension between India and Pakistan, an indian cricket board source said. 14 more matches, including the final, is set to be played in the next three weeks.
IPL 2025: The Indian Premier League 2025 season, which is currently going till 25th May, will go on normally as per the schedule as a BCCI source had revealed to ANI. This news comes after the Indian Army successfully implemented ‘Operation Sindoor’ during the wee hours on Wednesday morning since the tensions between India and Pakistan had escalated post the Pahalgam terror attack, which was carried out last month.
The source revealed to ANI that the tensions between India and Pakistan won’t affect the ongoing season of the IPL and it will be going as per the plan.
In ‘Operation Sindoor’ the Indian Army used special precision munition and launched attacks on nine terror camps situated in Pakistan and POK.

As per the sources, the Indian forces attacked four camps in Pakistan, which include areas in Bahwalpur, Muridke, and Sialkot, and then were able to successfully target five areas in POK.
The Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force together implemented this operation.
It was a successful attack on all nine camps as per the sources. The Indian Army chose these camps to send stern a message to the leaders of terrorist groups Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, who had played a huge role in carrying out terrorist attacks in India.
It was one of the most significant military attacks in Pakistan in the last fifty years.
It should be noted here that IPL has faced a lot of postponements, owing to changes in venues in its history. But, this tournament hasn’t been canceled completely ever and that’s why is known as a cash-rich league tournament since it entertains both the Indian fans and the fans of the overseas members.
The 2009 IPL season was held in South Africa for the first time as a lot of security officials were busy owing to the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.
Then the IPL 2014, the first part of the season was held in the UAE, owing to Lok Sabha. And then during the second half, the tournament returned to the country.
And then owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament was once again postponed in March and was then held in September.Due to the seriousness of this pandemic, it was once again shifted to the UAE.
And then in the next season, the first half was being held in four cities Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Chennai. But then the second half was postponed yet again due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was once again shifted to UAE and was held in September-October.
The IPL 2022 was held in India but took place in four venues Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad.
The IPL 2023 was fully held in India.
The Shubman Gill-led side thrashed Mumbai Indians by three wickets during a rain-induced match in Mumbai on Tuesday.
