IPL Auction 2026 Highlights: Green, Pathirana, Prashant Veer, Kartik Sharma biggest winners in Abu Dhabi – CNBC TV18

IPL 2026 Player Auction RCB, CSK, MI, KKR, SRH, DC, GT, PBKS, RR, LSG 2026 Players List, Squad LIVE Updates: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 auction is set to see 350 players go under the hammer as franchises look to plug gaps and fine-tune their squads ahead of the new season.
Delhi Capitals close out the auction by getting hold of Kyle Jamieson for ₹2 crore.
Tamil Nadu’s U-19 player Vihaan Malhotra heads to RCB for ₹30 lakhs.
It’s now time for the last accelerated round. SRH got Jack Edwards in the previous one.
Josh Inglis made a mark in the international circuit off late for Australia, and is secured by SRH for ₹8.6 crore. 
Matt Henry has been signed by CSK for ₹2 crore. He, too, went unsold in the opening round.
Rachin Ravindra is swooped in by KKR for ₹2 crore.
Liam Livingstone ends up at LSG for ₹12 crore! Incredible, since he was unsold in the initial round.
Sarfaraz Khan has been bought by CSK at his base price for ₹75 lakhs.
Vidarbha pacer Praful Hinge has been signed by SRH for ₹30 lakhs. 
MI owner Akash Ambani: “Very satisfied with the team we have. Different challenge, don’t think we’ve had this kinda auction in 19 years. Lowest purse we’ve come in with, but it shows us how balanced we were. Knew we had to fill just a couple of gaps. Happy with all our picks, just one more to go.” ”
Atharva Ankolekar – he’s a Mumbai boy, we wanted the Mumbai connect back. We also traded Shardul who is captaining Mumbai. We remember we play seven games at Wankhede, that was a critical factor in our planning. Very happy to have Atharva and Danish, who of course plays for Vidarbha. We haven’t reached our peak for the last five years. Hopefully this is the year. We believe it’s a complete and competitive squad.”
KKR strengthen their bench strength with the acquisitions of Sarthak Ranjan and Daksh Kamra.
Australian pace duo of Jhye Richardson and Riley Meredith remain unsold. They were once among the biggest draws of the IPL auction.
RCB have gotten Mangesh Yadav as a replacement for Yash Dayal.

CSK and DC lock horns for Mustafizur Rahman. Interestingly, the pacer has played for both these teams previously.
CSK bag Australian all-rounder Matthew Short for ₹1.5 crore.
CSK and GT battling it out for Jason Holder, the West Indian pace-bowling all-rounder.
The accelerated round of the IPL auction begins.
MI walked in with just about ₹3 crore in the auction, and managed to still significantly strengthen their lineup with the ₹1 crore-worth acquisition of Quinton de Kock.
Parth Jindal says that Ben Duckett’s flamboyant batting style in Test matches propelled them to get him into their T20 setup too.
Fleming says that Kartik Sharma was in the CSK nets last season. Prashant Veer’s acquisition was driven by their need for that sort of a skillset after trading Jadeja for Sanju Samson.
Abhinav Mukund and Robin Uthappa express surprise at CSK shelling out such big sums on unproven talent, whereas Anil Kumble lauds their scouting network for the same.
After a 45-minute break, there will be an accelerated round, before we head towards the closure of the auction.
RR give their pace-bowling department a well-rounded look by bagging Sushant Mishra for ₹90 lakh.
LSG and RR fighting it out for Naman Tiwari. Uncapped players and teams bidding big for them is the big story of the auction day so far.
Vansh Bedi, who represented CSK last year, finds no takers at his base price of ₹30 lakh this season.
CSK shell out 14.2 crore.  to get the uncapped Kartik Sharma, 19, who plays as a wicket-keeper for Rajasthan in the domestic circuit. 
CSK and KKR locking horns over the 19-year-old Rajasthan wicket-keeper/batter.
CSK go all guns blazing and probably secure a long-term replacement for Ravindra Jadeja.
The left-arm spinner, who is a southpaw in batting too, could be seen as a replacement for Ravindra Jadeja for CSK. He belongs to Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.
