The IPL 2026 auction will happen in Abu Dhabi on December 16. The 10 IPL teams have a maximum of 77 slots to be filled in the day-long auction.
Kolkata Knight Riders heads into the auction with the most number of available slots, after it retained just 12 players from its 2025 squad. KKR now has 13 slots, of which six can be overseas players.
Sunrisers Hyderabad follows KKR with 10 available slots, with two for overseas.
Punjab Kings has the least amount of work to do in the auction, in terms of available slots, with just four of them.
