Javed akhtar on pakistani artists: Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s film ‘Abir Gulal’, which was going to be released in India after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, was banned. Meanwhile, lyricist Javed Akhtar was asked whether Pakistani artists should be allowed to work in India? Responding to this, Javed Akhtar said that this is not possible at the moment.

Javed Akhtar said during a conversation with PTI-language- ‘This can be thought about in a better time and it is expected that after a few years a little understanding will be created. If Pakistan’s establishment will have a better attitude for India, then it can be thought. But at the moment, this question does not arise, it is not possible.

Javed Akhtar said to stop Abir Gulal’s release
During this, Javed Akhtar also responded to the question of stopping the release of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s film ‘Abir Gulal’ in India. He said- ‘Whatever happened especially recently, it should not be a matter of discussion at this time, due to what has happened in Pahalgam, there is hardly any friendly feeling or warmth. The question should be whether we should allow Pakistani artists to work here? ‘

Pakistan did not solve India in return
Javed Akhtar further further thanked that Pakistani artists like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Mehdi Hasan, Ghulam Ali and Nurjahan were welcomed by Indian officials in India, but Pakistan did not solve this in return. Giving an example of the honor given to Faiz Ahmed Faiz in India, he said- ‘I (I) would not call him a Pakistani poet, he was living in Pakistan because he was born there. But he was a poet of the subcontinent, a poet of peace and love. When he came to India during the Prime Minister of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, he was treated like the head of the state.

‘I have no complaints with the people of Pakistan’
Akhtar further said- ‘The way the government gave him respect and the way he took care of him is worthy of praise. But I regret that it never got revenge. I have no complaint with the people of Pakistan. Javed Akhtar further said about Lata Mangeshkar that she was very popular in Pakistan in the 60s and 70s, but she did not perform even once there.

‘When behavior is just one -sided …’
Akhtar said- ‘I will not complain to the people of Pakistan, because they loved them (Mangeshkar). So she was so popular. He used to praise him, but there were some obstacles and obstacles were in the system. When the behavior is just one -sided, it comes after a time. It should be absolutely equal.
