Waqf amendment bill: The situation of the central government is getting stronger amid opposition from opposition parties over the Waqf Amendment Bill. Two major NDA parties JDU and TDP have said to support the Center on the Waqf Bill. Meanwhile, Union Minister and President of Hindustani Awam Morcha Jitan Ram Manjhi has posted thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by posting on X. Targeting the opposition, Jitan Ram Manjhi said that the Waqf Amendment Bill 2025 will shatter the dreams of many political parties.

‘Muslims will say that if Modi is, it is possible’

Union Minister Jeetan Ram Manjhi said, “Our government is going to give a befitting reply to the parties which were still working to incite Muslims regarding the Waqf Bill. The day the Waqf Amendment Bill passes, every Muslim of the country will say that on that day, every Muslim of the country will say that if Modi is, then everything is possible. Thank you, PM Modi is every section of the country.”

TDP-JDU supports the center

There is disagreement among the opposition parties regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill, but after the TDP, the support of JDU will give the government a significant edge in passing it. The India coalition on Tuesday (1 April 2025), showing solidarity, discussed a joint strategy to oppose the Waqf (Amendment) Bill in Parliament.

India coalition meeting regarding Waqf Bill

This meeting was attended by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and KC Venugopal, Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav, NCP leader Supriya Sule, Kalyan Banerjee of Trinamool Congress and Sanjay Singh of Aam Aadmi Party. The Congress whip was issued and directed all their MPs to ensure the presence in the House by the next three days.
