Pregnancy time is special for every woman. People consider change in body changes, mild pain and fatigue as common. Most mothers bear it, think that it is just a matter of a few months. Many times take medicine, sometimes advice a doctor. But sometimes this pain is hidden some more story. Today we will talk about a woman for whom the happiness of pregnancy became the biggest battle of life. The woman’s name is Laura Mahon, who is a resident of St. Helens, Merceyside of England. 31 -year -old Laura saw strange symptoms in the middle of his pregnancy and when the truth came out, all the people of his family were surprised. Doctors said that she has a rare brain tumor, due to which she will be able to live for just one year.
Let us know that Laura had difficulty in turning the toes in the middle of pregnancy. At first felt that this is a common pregnancy pain, but he demanded MRI from doctors. The result was shocking. He had a glioma tumor in his brain, which is a type of cancer. Doctors said that they have only one year left. Laura says, “My heart broke. I was scared for my husband Danny and future daughter Sienna.” Doctors gave two ways to either continue pregnancy, or start treatment which could have endured the child’s life. Laura and Danny decided to wait for Sienna for 32 weeks, but the condition deteriorated in 27 weeks. Laura says, “Cancer was spreading. My right hand got numbered, the strength of the leg moving was reduced. It was difficult to walk.”

In such a situation, doctors conducted an emergency in 30 weeks. Sienna was born 10 weeks ago, small but healthy. Laura then started chemo and radiotherapy to treat the brain cancerous tumors. But the tumor was not worth removing from the operation. Despite treatment, no work was done. This rare cancer of Laura occurred diagnosis in September 2021 and in June 2024, the condition continued to worse. Laura got more than 50 seizures in three days. In such a situation, he was admitted to The Walton Center, but after two months, the doctors said that NHS has no other treatment. Laura says, “The tumor increased a lot. My liver was also answering. Chemo is not possible now.” Still he did not lose. The family is raising money on Go Fund Me so that private treatment can be done.
Please tell that the doctors had told the Lara that she will be able to live only one year, she has been fighting the battle of her life for the last three years. Now she is working to spread awareness among other patients struggling with brain cancer along with getting her treatment done. She often shares her story on Instagram and Ticketkocks, showing that brain cancer kills people and children under 40, but only 1% funds are found for research. She says, “This inequality gave me the courage to spread awareness and raise funds.” Laura says, “My tumor is growing. Things are deteriorating. I do not know how much time is left.”
