LSG vs RCB, IPL 2025 Highlights: RCB book a spot in Qualifier 1 as Jitesh plays captain's knock – Firstpost

LSG vs RCB, IPL 2025 Highlights: Royal Challengers Bengaluru have booked a spot in Qualifier 1 after a convincing 6-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants in the last league game of IPL 2025 on Tuesday. Jitesh Sharma played a captain’s knock to help RCB chase down a mammoth target of 228 and secure a top 2 finish in the points table. Virat Kohli and Mayank Agarwal also played crucial knocks in RCB’s chase. Earlier, LSG scored 227/3 thanks to an unbeaten 118 from captain Rishabh Pant and a vital contribution from Mitchell Marsh. RCB will play the Qualifier 1 against Punjab Kings on 29 May. The team that wins will go to the final and loser will have another go at the winner of the Eliminator (MI vs GT).
What a way for Rishabh Pant to sign off from the 2025 Indian Premier League, smashing a 54-ball century after enduring his worst season with the bat!
Here’s how Pant celebrated after reaching the milestone:
When he hits, they stay as hit 😍

LSG vs RCB, IPL 2025 LIVE: Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be hoping to secure a top-two finish alongside Punjab Kings when they face Lucknow Super Giants in the final league match of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) in Lucknow on Tuesday.
RCB currently are third on the table with 17 points, one point behind Gujarat Titans, and will finish level with PBKS if they defeat LSG, and potentially finish top of the table depending on the margin by which they win the game.
The Rishabh Pant-led LSG, on the other hand, are in the mood to play party-poopers for the Rajat Patidar-led RCB, and having already been eliminated from the playoffs race, will be aiming to sign off from what has otherwise been a disappointing season on a winning note.
They had defeated Gujarat Titans by 33 runs in their previous game, propelled by Mitch Marsh’s maiden IPL ton and a three-for for Will O’Rourke, and there’s no reason to believe that can pull off something similar against the Royal Challengers, especially since they will be having the home advantage with the match taking place at Lucknow’s Ekana Cricket Stadium.
