The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 final will take place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad due to rain predictions in Kolkata. Earlier, the IPL governing body, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced their updated schedule for the marquee event, where they have not finalised the squad for the playoffs and the finals. 

As per BCCI sources close to Sports Tak, the final of the 16th edition of IPL will take place in Ahmedabad on June 3. The report further added that the decision came after a series of meetings by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday. It is also understood that the city will play host to Qualifier 2 on June 1. Apart from that IPL 2025 clash between RCB and SRH which was supposed to take place in Bengaluru has been shifted to Lucknow amid rain scare at Chinnaswamy. 
The first two matches of the playoffs – Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator will likely to be played in Mullanpur and New Chandigarh on May 29 and May 30, respectively. BCCI changed the venue for the knockouts and the title deciders because of he weather conditions, as the rainy season is slowly beginning to take effect in the country.

Earlier, the IPL 2025 final was supposed to take place on May 25, but the play was suspended on May 9 due to rising border tensions between India and Pakistan, and the title decider was rescheduled to June 3rd after play resumed on May 17th.

Coming back to the IPL 2025, RCB, GT and PBKS have already qualified for the playoffs with their dominating performance in the mega event. On the other hand, defending champions KKR, runners up SRH and five time champions CSK have already ruled out of the tournament.
