Delhi: Control Z, a unique factory located in Gurgaon, is very much discussed these days. The specialty of this factory is that it is completely made of bamboo and soil. This is the first factory in India, in which no brick or concrete was used. The special thing is that this factory works as a mobile repairing, where the old phone is made new.

How did this unique idea come?
Yug Bhatia, founder of Control Z, said that his work is based on sustainability. They buy old phones and repair them and turn them into a new phone. Taking this thinking forward, he decided that his factory should also be made from sustainable material.
Yuga Bhatia said that “The work we are doing is a step towards saving the environment. We are recycling the old phone and making it new, so why not our factory is completely eco-friendly? With this thinking, we decided to make this factory with bamboo and soil. “

biggest challenge
Yuga Bhatia told that, such a factory was never made in India before, so it was a big challenge to make it. The biggest problem was the lack of master artisans, because only some experts from West Bengal and Assam could do such construction work. It was very difficult to bring him to Delhi and get him to work.
Apart from this, high quality bamboo was needed, which is found only in the North-East region in India. Bringing it to Gurgaon and preparing the structure was also a challenging task.

What does this unique structure look like?
This entire factory is made of wood and soil. Its walls are made of soil and bamboo, which keeps cold in summer and warmth in winter. Such construction is the best example of proper use of natural resources.

Example of sustainability
This factory made of bamboo and soil is very favorable for the environment. This project proves that if right thinking and efforts are made, environmentally friendly options can be adopted for construction. This step of Yuga Bhatia can prove to be an example in promoting sustainable constructions in India.
