The Ministry of External Affairs said that the officer has been given 24 hours to leave India. This action has been taken between the ceasefire after a four -day military confrontation between the two countries. India also released an objection to the Pakistani High Commissioner in New Delhi on the activities of the officer.

India has declared the Pakistani officer working in the Pakistan High Commission as Persona Non Grata, that is, the government does not consider him to be lustful in India. The Government of India has issued a Demarche in this regard to Charged Affaires of Pakistan High Commission. Demarche means that the government has formally opposed Pakistan on this matter.
