Piyush Goyal S Jaishankar slams US Donald Trump on tariff said India never negotiate at gunpoint

India on us tariff: Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar spoke on the issues of stopping the reciperochl tariff on the global political and Trump for 90 days. In Italy-India Business, Science and Technology Forum, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that India will never talk on gun tip nor will it make any hasty compromise on any issue in the interest of its people.

‘We never talk about gun point’

Donald Trump’s move on tariffs is being seen as a limited opportunity for India and the US to rapidly complete bilateral trade agreement, on which both sides are currently interacting. Union Minister Piyush Goyal said, “We will always keep India first and ensure that a deal is finalized keeping in mind the feeling. We (in any deal) do not hurry till we secure the interests of our country and our people. We never talk about gunship.”

Piyush Goyal’s statement about India and European Union

In this talk, Union Minister Piyush Goyal told how India’s trade talks with America, Britain, European Union and many other countries around the world are moving forward. He said that business talks move forward only when both sides are sensitive to each other’s concerns and needs. He said, “I believe that concrete steps need to be taken to complete the FTA between India and the European Union.”

S Jaishankar spoke on the use of economic activities

On the other platform of this forum, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar expressed concern over using economic activities as a weapon. He said that India is working closely with partners with equal ideology so that a reliable partnership can be formed. The Foreign Minister further said that the trade agreement with the United States has been very challenging. He said, “Just as America has a view about India, similarly India also has a view about America.”
