What did PM Modi say on completion of 10 years of Mudra Yojana

Prime Minister Modi said, “Today when we are completing 10 years of Mudra Yojana, I congratulate all those whose life has brought positive changes in life. In this decade, the Mudra Yojana has realized many dreams and empowered those who were deprived of financial support earlier. It is proof that there is no impossible for people in India.”

He informed that under this scheme, the government has so far distributed loans of about 33 lakh crore rupees without guarantee. Significantly, the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana was started on 8 April 2015, and now this scheme has completed 10 years.

PM Modi made this appeal to youth

Prime Minister Modi also said, “Today, the youth of India can move forward in any field. If he gets a little help, he can give big results. I want more and more people to take advantage of this scheme. This is the government that is evaluating it after 10 years of the scheme and knowing the beneficiaries directly and knowing what further improvement can be made in the scheme.”

According to data from the Finance Ministry, “This scheme helped to empower women and more than 70 percent of loans have been taken by women entrepreneurs, which has increased their financial freedom and contributed to gender equality.” Under the PM Mudra Yojana, the loan amount per woman in the last nine years increased to Rs 62,679 from the annual growth rate (CAGR). At the same time, the amount of old deposits per female increased the amount of 14 percent to Rs 95,269.

More than 52 crore loan account opened in last 10 years

According to a report by SBI, in the last 10 years, the Mudra scheme has helped open more than 52 crore loan accounts, which reflects a huge bounce in entrepreneurship activity.

Under the PM Mudra Yojana, Kishore Loans (50,000 to 5 lakh rupees), which support growing businesses, have increased from 5.9 percent in FY 2016 to 44.7 percent in FY 2025, which reflects the real progress of small industries.

The Tarun category (5 lakh to 10 lakh rupees) is also moving faster, which proves that the currency is not only about starting a business, but helps to increase them.
