Ravichandran Ashwin Registers Himself For ILT20 2025/26 Auction: Reports – Cricket.com

Days after retiring from the Indian Premier League (IPL), with the motive of playing in franchise leagues across the world, Ravichandran Ashwin has made his first move, with the former India spinner believed to have registered for the ILT20 2025/26 auction.
According to a Cricbuzz report, Ashwin is believed to have confirmed registering himself for the ILT20 2026 auction.
“I have sent my name for the ILT20 auction. Hopefully, I will have a buyer,” Ashwin told Cricbuzz.
ILT20 2025/26 will be the competition’s fourth edition, and the first which will be preceded by an auction. The auction for the upcoming season will be held on September 30 in Dubai.
Earlier, a Telegraph Cricket report claimed that Ashwin was keen on becoming the first Indian player to feature in The Hundred, with a firm eye on playing in the competition in 2026.
It remains to be seen whether the Tamil Nadu man will also aim to feature in Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL) and South Africa’s SA20, both of which will take place towards the end of 2025/beginning of 2026.
In December last year, mid-way through the 2024/25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Ashwin had announced his retirement from international cricket.
