Fast bowler Avesh Khan played a pivotal role with three key wickets as Lucknow Super Giants edged out Rajasthan Royals by a narrow margin of two runs in a nail-biting IPL encounter on Saturday.

Yashasvi Jaiswal led the scoring for RR with a fine fifty, while young debutant Vaibhav Suryavanshi delivered an impressive performance for the home side.
Aiden Markram and Ayush Badoni both notched up fifties and stitched together a 76-run partnership for the fourth wicket, helping LSG post a total of 180 for 5.
During the chase, Rajasthan appeared in control with strong contributions from Jaiswal (74), Riyan Parag (39), and Vaibhav (34). However, Avesh Khan turned the tide with a crucial spell of 3 for 37, removing Jaiswal, Parag, and Shimron Hetmyer to restrict RR to 178 for 5.
