‘Mumbai terror attack shook the whole world’
Tahwwur Hussain Rana is a Canadian citizen, who is of Pakistan origin. NIA brought him to India on Thursday (April 10, 2025). The 64 -year -old former Pakistani army officer tried all the legal routes to stop his extradition. The NIA formally arrested Rana in India and produced it in the court, from where he was sent to the custody of the agency.
The US Secretary of State posted on X and said, ‘The 2008 Mumbai terror attack shook the whole world’. He said that the US has long supported India’s efforts to bring people responsible for these attacks into the dock of justice. Marco Rubio said, ‘As President Trump has said that the United States and India will continue to work together to deal with the global crisis of terrorism’. He said, ‘Rana is now in India’s possession and we are proud of the progress made in this matter. Some people may not remember the attacks, in which 166 people, including 6 American citizens, died ‘.
