Seven including canteen worker arrested by CCB for selling IPL cricket match ticket of RCB and Delhi capitals outside stadium in black – Country and Politics
Yogesh K Porwar The special Enquiry Wing of the Central Crime Branch on Thursday caught seven people including a canteen worker selling IPL cricket match of RCB and Delhi Capitals outside Chinnaswamy stadium in black .
The accused were caught red handed by the CCB team who rushed to the spot outside the stadium and approached the accused posing as cricket fans and caught the accused red handed .
One of the accused identified as Manoj Khande,28 from Chandigarh but working in a canteen inside the stadium.
He confessed to the police that he was given the ticket worth Rs.1200 each to be sold it to Rs.7,000 in black market .
Based on his confession the police also arrested his associate identified as Santosh from RT Nagar and recovered four tickets from them.
The police have booked the duo and on the lookout for the canteen manager identified as Shiva Kumar H and Nagaraj K .
In another incident the officials caught five men selling complimentary tickets to the people for a price ranging from Rs.5,000 to Rs.10,000.
According to the police,the accused were hired by a man who sourced the tickets which are not for sale,from a person identified as Cherian.
Cherian according to the police have got the tickets from his company as complimentary to watch the match but he wanted to make money out of it and roped in the accused to sell them.
