IPL 2025 showcased the talent of several uncapped Indian players. Many delivered impressive performances, displaying both skill and composure in high-pressure situations. These emerging players, ranging from powerful opening batsmen to reliable bowlers, demonstrated their readiness for top-level cricket.
An outstanding display in seven matches earned him 252 runs with a very high strike rate of over 206. Suryavanshi was the winner of the Super Striker of the Season award due to his aggressive style of batting and composure.
The eye-catching debut season of Priyansh Arya, which ended with a century against CSK, was well worth his 3.8 crore price tag. His ever-good starts to Punjab Kings have helped them make a good appearance in the play-offs, where they reached the final and he scored 475 runs overall.
Although Chennai Super Kings are having a rather dismal season, one of the silver linings was the performance of Ayush Mhatre. He scored 240 runs in seven innings, the best in his debut T20 matches, and was one of the top three run-getters in the team. His batting expertise and cool attitude was even more remarkable considering the poor performance of the team.
Badoni is a valuable member of this team of players with no international experience, because of his consistent batting, especially in pressure situations and his smart wicket keeping. His input gives a good balance to the squad.
Aniket Verma significantly boosted Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) batting lineup with his powerful hitting and assertive approach. His impactful contributions, marked by numerous sixes and a high strike rate, frequently proved decisive in altering the course of SRH matches.
A veteran, but uncapped Shashank Singh impressive performances which included some match-winning knocks earned him the captaincy of the team. The main things that led to this appointment were his calm headship and his capability to work under pressure when chasing runs.
Nehal Wadhera, after not so great seasons with Mumbai Indians, restored his cricketing career with Punjab Kings. His good show, which fetched him a 4.2 crore contract, consisted of 369 runs and two fifties and was a major reason in the team batting success in the top-order.
Arora swung the ball excellently and bowled with great control in the powerplay overs which brought him success. He also always bowled key wickets at the start of the innings and he was very dangerous to the batting team.
Vipraj Nigam, the promising all-rounder (spin bowler) contributed heavily with bat and ball to the Delhi cause. His strike rate stood at 179.75 and he took 11 wickets, often providing the much needed breakthroughs to his team in crunch situations.
Digvesh Rathi played an essential role in Lucknow Super Giants despite being suspended after one game. His reliability in each and every match of the season garnered him 14 wickets in 13 matches with a decent economy rate to boot.
Ashwani Kumar bowled well as a fast bowler taking four wickets in one match against the Kolkata Knight Riders while playing for the Mumbai Indians. He was very useful to the team due to his pace and efficiency in the middle overs.
